Challenge: Kratos’ signal geolocation product, satID had a new capability to identify the location of VSAT interference. The product could solve a vexing problem in the satellite industry – how to quickly identify the source of RF interference to accelerate the remediation process to minimize Quality of Service (QoS) issues.
Solution: To promote this new and powerful capability, a marketing program was developed in collaboration with product management. To get started, a training session was held to educate the sales team on the new capability. The roll-out also included the creation of new sales tools including an updated fact sheet, presentation and website content. Then as part of the launch, two press releases were written and distributed. One press release announcing the only TDMA network geolocation capability to combat VSAT interference and the other announcing a customer JSAT’s use of the product. Following the announcement - a webinar entitled “Geolocate the Source of VSAT Interference” was promoted and executed. The campaign included sending out three promotional emails and making phone calls to generate attendance.
