Challenge: Kratos was awarded the DHS CDM Tools /Continuous Monitoring-as-a-Service (CMaaS) blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to help government agencies gain better real-time situational awareness through monitoring of their cyber networks. With 16 other organizations, many much larger and better known in the cybersecurity domain, the challenge was to educate federal agencies about Kratos and its team’s CDM solution.
Solution: An integrated marketing program was developed to generate more awareness about Kratos’ CDM capabilities. This included creating a microsite describing Kratos’ CDM team, the products and services and ordering information. A video was also created along with a critical CDM partner – Microsoft to discuss the challenge that the CDM program was addresses and how Kratos’ solution was unique and tackled the problem in the most efficient fashion. Also had over ten articles written in publications including FCW, GCN and the Washington Times based on input from Kratos’ program manager Patrick Howard (a former CISO of NRC and HUD). Working with the media led to a monthly blog post with the federal times. As part of the integrated marketing program, several emails were sent to a targeted group of DHS CDM contacts promoting the video and articles on the website. A brochure was also developed highlighting the Kratos team’s expertise as it related to CDM. Kratos exhibited and participated in several events related to CDM for awareness and networking purposes.
These events included:
SANS CDM Event – Kratos Panel with other teammates including Microsoft, Federal CISO, Dell, and Forescout (383 contacts)
Cyber Innovation Symposium (690 contacts)
Department of Commerce (346 contacts)
Exceedium event (partnership event)
